Job Summary
Conduct administrative and technical services for scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration alongside project managers and superintendents. Actively pursue safety training, participate in the TRACK process, and attend daily/weekly meetings and field inspections. Initiate and maintain relationships with craft personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and the project management team while prioritizing daily tasks based on deadlines and material procurement lead times. Beat the estimated budget by tracking quantities, updating forecasts, and performing thorough invoice reviews for timely subcontractor payments. Gather documentation for change orders and requisitions, investigate issues to propose solutions, and communicate clearly with agencies and vendors. Navigate active job sites with uneven terrain and lift materials up to 50 pounds, while also managing office-based document review and meetings. Work extended hours during critical phases and respond to time-sensitive communications as required.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline; or similar field or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience working on commercial or heavy civil construction projects from start to finish
- High degree of initiative, independence, personal responsibility, and integrity
