Job Summary
Review documents submitted for City required building and other permits for completeness and accuracy. Provide support to permit applicants in completing the filing procedure with various City agencies. Deliver documents to various city agencies for data entry, review, and approval. Work closely with Plan Examiners to review documents for City Building Code compliance and research existing building status from City records. Perform related tasks within the Construction Management Dept. Requires a four-year college degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering, or a two-year technical degree with two years of full-time experience in construction inspection. Salary is $85,000.
Required Qualifications
- four (4) year college degree from an accredited college related to construction management, architecture, or engineering
- two (2) years technical degree from accredited college and two (2) years of full-time experience performing: construction inspection and monitoring of construction projects
- satisfactory combination of education and experience
- working knowledge of computer software system (e.g. Excel, Word)
