Job Summary
Manage engineering deliverables and submittals from contractors using project management software like Procore and Smartsheet. Support the review of EPC contractor drawings, material selections, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and permitting requirements. Coordinate design review meetings, track action items, and facilitate communication between internal engineering teams, utilities, and external stakeholders. Conduct detailed page-turn reviews for electrical, civil, and SCADA designs while analyzing data from geotechnical and hydrology studies. Assist with field visits for site information gathering and participate in discussions for substation and PV plant designs. Travel approximately 10%–20% of the time for project site visits or stakeholder meetings. Leverage OpenAI technologies to enhance efficiency in design reviews and workflow management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering are preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in engineering or related roles within the renewable energy or power generation industry
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across teams and disciplines
- Basic understanding of engineering design principles (civil or electrical)
- Basic understanding of grid interconnection processes, regulations, and technical requirements
- Travel to project sites or meetings with external stakeholders may be required approximately 10%–20% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or power system analysis tools is a plus
- PMP or PE certification is a plus
- Experience working with utilities, ISOs, permitting agencies, EPC contractors, engineering firms, etc. (is a plus)
- Experienced in leveraging OpenAI technologies to enhance efficiency in project design reviews and workflow management
- Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering are preferred
