Job Summary
Plan, lead, and execute multiple DoD-focused projects as a Project Engineer for NCDMM. Develop statements of work, cost proposals, and project timelines for new business opportunities; coordinate with customers, management, other engineers, and technicians; manage project budgets up to $1.0M; ensure quality project reporting and adherence to schedules. Travel <30% is expected. Requires a B.S. in engineering (or related field) with 3-5 years of relevant experience (or an associate degree with 15 years of experience) and strong communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; experience in DoD manufacturing environments; ability to develop technical reports and maintain customer relationships; capable of working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering or related engineering technical area (or associate degree with 15 years relevant experience)
- 3-5 years leading and managing projects
- experience in manufacturing environment
- experience in DoD project and manufacturing environments
- strong oral and written communication skills with emphasis on technical report writing
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- travel is expected (<30% anticipated)
- ability to develop statements of work and cost proposals
- ability to coordinate and execute multiple technical projects
- self-starter with proactive approach
- ability to work in a collaborative team environment
