Project Director / Project Lead

Project Director/Project Lead role to launch and grow a Calgary office for a mid-sized architecture and design firm. Lead architectural project teams on high-end commercial, office, and industrial projects, ensure alignment with client goals, regulatory requirements, and standards. Drive local business development, build client relationships, and collaborate with partners on strategy, branding, and market presence in Calgary. Responsibilities include developing and implementing the Calgary office rollout plan, delivering project schedules and budgets, coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulators, overseeing drawings and contract documents, mitigating risks, mentoring junior staff, and representing the firm at meetings and industry events. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Professional Alberta Architectural license, 10+ years of project management experience, strong Calgary market network and business development/relationship management capability, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and project-management tools. The role offers remote options initially with hybrid opportunities as the office is established, with potential progression toward senior associate/principal roles and a clear growth trajectory.
