Job Summary
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the Education Sector Bond program, ensuring projects remain on budget, schedule, and within design requirements. Direct client interface, scope, and budget tasks while supervising project teams to maintain safety, performance, and contractual compliance. Develop master schedules, implement quality management systems, and generate accurate financial and status reports for internal stakeholders and the bond oversight committee. Identify new business opportunities, manage risk mitigation plans, and resolve design or construction disputes. Report directly to the Senior Program Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
- 10+ years of experience providing project / program management services working with public agencies on Education projects
- 8+ years project management experience, including senior level oversight and staff supervision
- Experience in managing the full construction of education construction project: including pre-construction, design phases, and oversight of constructability reviews
- Applied experience leading or participating in procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQ, PRC approval processes, and bid evaluations
- Advanced knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods
- Thorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications and applied experience in the areas of accounting, cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings
- Applied experience guiding and delivering alternative delivery methods
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Effective negotiation skills (especially change orders)
- Experience working with school districts on bond planning
- CMAA - Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- DBIA - Design Build Associate, or Professional certification
- Registered Architect or Professional Engineer
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in application of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
