Job Summary
The Project Director for Postsecondary Education leads the Center for Economic Mobility’s strategic work, overseeing projects that use labor market information to support learners’ economic mobility, and directing strategy and business development. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing multi-year, multi-stakeholder projects and budgets (>$1M), facilitating planning processes, delivering technical assistance, writing reports/toolkits, presenting to advisory committees and policymakers, and expanding partnerships across agencies. The role requires leadership, facilitation, and clear communication to diverse audiences, with a focus on living wages, career ladders, and systems change in education, workforce development, and related sectors. Travel is required (approximately 25%), and visa sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years in postsecondary education leadership or technical assistance role
- History of managing complex projects involving large project teams, multiple stakeholders, and budgets in excess of $1 million
- Ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences, particularly labor market information
- Track record of building partnerships that expand project impact
- Long-term fundraising ability including securing contracts and grants over multiple years
- Experience leading teams and mentoring staff
- Strong writing and visualization skills for diverse audiences
