Job Summary
Project Director responsible for overall project execution across assigned jobs, including oversight of financials (cost spread, cost reports, profitability, change orders), operational oversight, resource scheduling, weekly updates, and mentoring Project Managers and Engineers to ensure successful delivery. Requires 15+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, and strong leadership, budgeting, cost projection, vendor relations, and safety/quality focus. Strong communication skills, problem solving, and ability to drive projects from planning through completion. Compensation includes competitive annual salary, discretionary bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or Engineer recommended
- Complete knowledge of construction principles/practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Project setup, budget planning, buy out, and cost reporting experience
- Complete understanding of critical path scheduling
- Experience leading successful project teams and maintaining relationships with external entities
- Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Experience with cost projections and budgeting to maximize profits
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, deliver presentations
- Proven leadership skills and mentoring/management experience
- Safety awareness and experience with safety audits
- Ability to identify and solve problems, plan resources efficiently
- Knowledge of vendor evaluation and GC relations
- Experience with schedule management and weekly/monthly project reviews
- Ability to establish goals, milestones, and procedures for projects
- Technical understanding of construction equipment and standards
- Experience with multi-project management
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering recommended
- Proven track record of profitability and cost control
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
