Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of Project Managers responsible for the delivery of Australian onshore wind projects, including turbine delivery, installation, commissioning, performance testing, and handover. Own and influence project budgets, cost forecasts, risk mitigation plans, and operating plans while delivering financial business objectives aligned with annual plans and global targets. Provide overall leadership and governance for Australian Projects, ensuring project controls, commercial, logistics, and functional support teams are aligned to delivery commitments and safety expectations. Develop and execute the Australian Projects strategy, interpret internal challenges to recommend best practices, and build a succession pipeline to support business continuity. Partner with regional leaders to develop competitive execution solutions and influence vendors, contractors, and customers to align around project priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in Project Management
- Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience
- Significant experience leading complex infrastructure, construction, energy or renewable energy projects in Australia
- Demonstrated experience managing project delivery, financial performance, customer satisfaction, project resources and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge of project controls, contract management, risk management, cost forecasting, scheduling and project governance
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a matrix organisation, including direct and indirect leadership of professional teams
- Experience in onshore wind project execution, including turbine delivery, installation, commissioning, performance testing and customer handover
- Knowledge of Australian construction, safety, environmental, industrial relations and renewable energy market requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects with moderate to high complexity, resource requirements and risk
- As GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected
