Job Summary
Project Director is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programs and projects. Provides leadership to staff, oversees project goals and timelines, monitors budgets and compliance requirements, and ensures high-quality service delivery to participants, families, and community partners. Works with leadership to develop strategies that support organizational growth, strengthens program outcomes, and ensures projects are completed efficiently and effectively. Duties include providing leadership and oversight for programs and staff; developing project plans, timelines, goals, and measurable outcomes; ensuring grant-relevant implementation; monitoring budgets and resource allocation; preparing reports and performance data; coordinating with internal departments, community partners, vendors, and stakeholders; conducting staff meetings, trainings, and performance evaluations; assisting with hiring and supervision of project staff; monitoring participant enrollment and program outcomes; identifying challenges and developing solutions; maintaining compliant files and documentation; representing the organization at meetings and events; supporting grant writing, program development, and strategic planning; maintaining confidentiality; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Services, Social Work, Project Management, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in program management, nonprofit administration, or related field
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with grants, contracts, budgets, and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and with staff, participants, and community partners
- Knowledge of project planning, program operations, and grant compliance
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
- Confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to lead teams and motivate staff
- Adaptability to changing priorities and organizational needs
- Office and community-based work environment
- Occasional evening or weekend hours
- Local travel to meetings, training sessions, and project sites
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to use computer and office equipment for extended periods
