Job Summary
Lead end-to-end project development for Peak Power's electric asset portfolio in battery energy storage, defining project scopes, schedules, and acceptance criteria; prepare RFPs and SOWs for EPC firms; perform site due diligence and evaluate environmental/geo reports; monitor progress with detailed plans and dashboards; manage documentation, permits, budgets, and stakeholder communications across internal teams, utilities, finance, and EPCs; coordinate with Battery OEMs and balance-of-plant vendors; travel 25-50% as needed; possess strong PM/communication skills and knowledge of ISO markets; PMP is preferred; base salary $90k-$130k with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of professional experience in a project development or related role
- 3-5+ years of experience in developing and constructing energy storage projects (behind and in front of the meter)
- Familiarity with battery storage design and technical standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project Management Institute PMP certification preferred
- Proficiency in MS Project and Office Suite
- Knowledge of NESC, NFPA 855 & UL 9540
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and permitting processes
Desired Qualifications
- Project management experience in energy/storage projects
- PMP certification (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EPC contracts and 3rd party vendors
- Knowledge of NESC, NFPA 855, UL 9540
- Proficiency with MS Project and Office Suite
- Experience in ISO electricity markets (e.g., NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, IESO)
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership
- Due diligence and site evaluation experience
- Grant or project financing documentation and reporting
