Job Summary
Project Developer leads end-to-end development of utility-scale renewable energy projects within the CAISO market (solar, storage, and hybrid) from site selection through readiness for Notice to Proceed, coordinating interconnection, permitting, land, engineering, and commercial workstreams. Serves as central coordinator across cross-functional teams, driving milestones, managing integrated schedules and budgets, and engaging with landowners, utilities, CAISO stakeholders, permitting agencies, and consultants to advance projects. Requires ownership mindset, cross-functional leadership, strategic decision-making, and effective communication to ensure timely, compliant project delivery in CAISO, with a strong emphasis on interconnection, permitting, land constraints, and market considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental studies, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in renewable energy development or related field
- Strong understanding of interconnection, permitting, land, and project development processes
