Job Summary
Project Design Engineer responsible for leading the design of water and wastewater infrastructure from outline to detailed design, coordinating civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers and BIM modellers, delivering on programme and budget, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and building strong client and team relationships across a design-and-build environment. You’ll work within a multi-disciplinary project team to ensure technical, constructability and commercial considerations are addressed throughout design, construction, commissioning and handover, with opportunities to accelerate chartership and develop cross-discipline expertise. The role involves managing design activities across home, office and site, and supporting a one-team approach with clients’ project, operational and technical assurance teams. You’ll also engage in professional development and structured routes toward chartership, with embedded development schemes and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited Degree in Engineering - Civil, Mechanical, Process and Electrical
- Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution
- Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects
- Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
