Project Delivery Director

Job Summary

Set the enterprise strategy for project delivery tools and systems, including the evaluation and advancement of AI-enabled technologies. Lead firmwide decision-making on tool investments and collaborate with Regional Project Delivery Directors to synthesize input into clear priorities and improvement roadmaps. Provide directional leadership on business terms by partnering with Accounting and Legal to influence rates, payment terms, and contract language. Monitor system adoption, identify gaps, and serve as the enterprise business owner for ERP and Data Warehouse functionality. Establish enterprise standards, define decision frameworks, and own cross-regional issue resolution where consistency or risk exposure is required. Deliver strategic guidance for training programs, assess needs using performance data, and coordinate input from operational stakeholders on market conditions and billing rate increases. Act as a subject matter expert for go/no-go decisions, risk mitigation, and M&A due diligence while leading governance of timesheet correction requests.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional registration and/or certification as personal practice dictates
  • A bachelor's degree or higher
  • At least 15 years of progressive professional experience executing and delivering projects to clients in the architecture, engineering, and consulting (AEC) industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the company business model, organization, and project delivery initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering projects using a variety of delivery types while working within a project delivery framework and interfacing closely with a Quality Management Plan
  • Internal experience as a strong, proven leader (internally with practitioners and corporate teams and/ externally with clients) of numerous complex projects and diverse teams
  • Excellence in project management, project controls and risk management
  • Experience in a variety of project fee types, end markets and client types (e.g., public, private, client groups, research)
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to achieve mutually beneficial agreements in challenging situations
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • A satisfactory driving record for business travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Project management certification
  • Current or past experience serving on a leadership team and/or in line management
  • Experience training adults in the professional services industry
