The Project Cost Control Engineer plays a vital role in managing project costs and reporting for large commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include maintaining project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, monitoring performance indicators, overseeing change management processes, and documenting all scope and cost changes. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in commercial construction. Expertise in Procore and strong organizational skills are essential, along with excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within commercial construction
- Expertise in Procore document workflows and reporting tools
- Solid understanding of commercial project lifecycles and construction documentation standards
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Procore certification
- Experience with industry standards cost control
- Ability to train and support project teams on best practices
Additional Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds
