Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee the implementation of a community-wide substance use prevention coalition in Sterling Heights; recruit active sector representatives to mobilize a community-specific workplan; market evidence-based prevention strategies to schools, community groups, and faith-based organizations; execute the workplan goals and objectives; facilitate evidence-based programming in schools and community settings; provide presentations on substance use issues and prevention models; disseminate information at health and public events; adjust hours including evenings and weekends; apply knowledge of Strategic Prevention Framework, Recovery Oriented System of Care, and Trauma Informed Services; work independently as well as in a team; strong communication and community relationship-building skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED required
- Certified as a Prevention Consultant (CPC-R) or Prevention Specialist (CPS) or eligible for a registered development plan and be timely in its implementation upon hire
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator license
