Job Summary
Reviews design drawings for accuracy and coordinates resolution of discrepancies with customers, design teams, and trades. Provides technical guidance to detailers, monitors project schedules for submittals and approvals, and organizes the detailing RFI process. Act as a liaison between shop, field, and detailers to resolve fabrication difficulties while distributing and routing drawings. Maintain daily communication with project leadership on progress and assist the team in achieving successful project results. Requires five years of structural steel coordination experience and ability to travel for site visits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five (5) years related experience in the coordination of structural steel projects
- Ability to read and interpret shop and design drawings
- General understanding and knowledge of basic drafting skills
- General understanding and knowledge of 3D modeling software
- General understanding and knowledge of Tekla practices
- General understanding and knowledge of fabrication and erection standards
- General understanding and knowledge of standard technical terminology
- General understanding and knowledge of common structural steel practices
- General understanding and knowledge of drafting room procedures
- MS Windows 10
- MS Office 365

- Frequent air/road travel as needed and required

Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or training from an approved and accredited technical school in engineering or detailing/drafting
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in CM, Structural/Civil Engineering, or other technical area
- Detailing experience
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in CM, Structural/Civil Engineering, or other technical area may substitute for required experience
