Job Summary
Project Coordinator to support the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University. You will act as the operational backbone of the research center, coordinating cross-functional projects, maintaining Project Work Statements and Work Plans, tracking milestones, identifying variances or risks, and supporting proposal and reporting timelines using Jira/Jira Service Management. Responsibilities include onboarding/offboarding governance for datasets and assets, managing a CRM database, coordinating purchasing and expense tracking, drafting critical project documentation, compiling status reports, maintaining internal/external communications, updating website content, and providing administrative and event support to the PI and Executive Director for high-profile events and partner initiatives. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to the university mission. Location is Pittsburgh, PA, with an on-site work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 8-10 years of project management experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, reasoning and teamwork skills
- A combination of education and proven experience may be considered
