Job Summary
The Project Coordinator Intern will provide operational and project support for IPTA-related governance, policy research, and data management within the Office of Addictions and Mental Health. Responsibilities include coordinating IPTA Review Board administrative activities and hearings, supporting data collection and reporting for IPTA requirements, improving records and information management practices, conducting policy analysis and synthesis, and contributing to collaborative team work and effective internal communications. Required skills include strong written and verbal communication, organizational ability, attention to confidential information, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel). Preference is given to candidates with education in data/information management, business administration, health sciences, or public administration, and an emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and respectful workplace practices. This is a term internship located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, with a monthly-to-biweekly salary range noted and eligibility for government benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated within the past three years from a university, community college, or a recognized trade school
- Equivalency: An equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
