Job Summary
Provide project coordination support for HRT transit capital improvements, facilities, and system enhancements. Assist Project Managers with schedules, task tracking, budgets, purchase orders, and milestone reporting. Coordinate meetings with internal departments, local jurisdictions, consultants, contractors, and regional partners while preparing agendas, presentations, reports, and minutes. Maintain accurate project files in compliance with Records Management Policies and support procurement activities including RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and contract administration. Monitor project risks, issues, and change requests while ensuring compliance with FTA, DRPT, and local requirements. Manage records and assist with public outreach and interagency coordination. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Transportation Planning, Engineering, Project Management, Public Administration, Construction Management, or a related field
- A Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, construction management, public administration or closely related field with at least five (5) years' work experience coordinating capital projects
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- Acquire a Virginia Driver's License within 60 days after the date of hire (in instances when an out of state license is not the applicant's current state of residence)
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to interpret schedules, contracts, technical documents, and funding requirements
- Ability to work effectively with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats
