Job Summary
Read technical and administrative project specifications and inspect work daily to ensure compliance with specified standards. Order critical materials with suppliers, track hours, expenses, and costs, and monitor changes while coordinating with the project team. Record and resolve budget and schedule issues, tabulate information for client submission, and maintain document control in a cloud-based system. Assist in preparing final records, including as-builts, and organize meetings to establish communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, and the client. Perform duties related to field activities at the job site. Report to the Project Manager on project development and discuss planned methods with site management.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering program or similar, or a combination of technical training and/or related experience
- 2-5 years of industry experience
- Experience in construction industry (civil preferred)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings
- Experience with scheduling and planning site activities
- Excellent command of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, etc.
- Cost analysis, control, and reporting
- Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required
- Excellent excel skills required
