Project Coordinator

Job Summary
Manage the flow of technical information between the Project Management team, customers, and subcontractors by reviewing design drawings for accuracy and coordinating resolution of discrepancies. Provide technical guidance to detailers, organize RFI processes, and distribute drawings while monitoring project schedules for submittals and approvals. Act as a liaison between shop, field, and detailers to resolve fabrication difficulties and communicate delays to the project management team. Maintain daily communication with senior leadership on progress and assist in achieving successful project results through smooth execution across all departments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five (5) years related experience in the coordination of structural steel projects
- Ability to read and interpret shop and design drawings
- General understanding and knowledge of basic drafting skills
- General understanding and knowledge of 3D modeling software
- General understanding and knowledge of Tekla practices
- General understanding and knowledge of fabrication and erection standards
- General understanding and knowledge of standard technical terminology
- General understanding and knowledge of common structural steel practices
- General understanding and knowledge of drafting room procedures
- MS Windows 10

- Frequent air/road travel as needed and required

Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or training from an approved and accredited technical school in engineering or detailing/drafting
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in CM, Structural/Civil Engineering, or other technical area
- Detailing experience
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in CM, Structural/Civil Engineering, or other technical area may substitute for required experience
