Project Coordinator Co-op Student

Job Summary
Support Project Manager(s) and Superintendent in all aspects of the construction process, including monitoring project plans and schedules, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring project deadlines are met. Assist with project startups (tendering and bid evaluations, subcontract preparation, permit applications, quantity take-offs), manage documentation (RFI, Site Instructions, Submittals, Change Requests, Change Orders), and support project closeout (inspections, owner training, O&M Manuals, punch and deficiency lists). Maintain QA/QC plan integrity, facilitate meeting minutes, and track productivity and performance. Require/read technical drawings and specifications, apply Lean thinking, and collaborate using tools like Procore and Last Planner. Eligible for a co-op terms of 8, 12, or 16 months starting September 2026, with Calgary, AB and surrounding areas as the work location. Recruitment fraud awareness included in description. Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline (or related field)
- Experience or familiarity with Procore® is an asset
- Experience with Last Planner® System is an asset
- Experience with collaborative pull planning is an asset
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement
