Job Summary
Project Coordinator role supporting paving and construction projects in the Columbia Shuswap region; field-office coordination (50% field/50% office) with responsibilities including project file setup and cost coding, safety program administration, subcontractor oversight, budgeting and scheduling, documentation management, progress reporting to clients, site meetings representation, and ensuring quality control and compliance; requires coordinating with clients, owner representatives, consultants, subcontractors, field staff and superintendents, and strong skills in communication, cost tracking, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of construction equipment, materials, and processes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, estimating software including Heavy Job and Heavy Bid
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment and a willingness to take direction from senior project and operational personnel
- Ensures personal compliance with company policies and helps guide others toward consistent adherence
- Valid BC driver’s license and willingness to operate a company-owned light-duty vehicle during work hours as required
