Job Summary
Project Coordinator at Aecon, Calgary, AB: coordinate field-engineering information for project management and sub-trades to ensure conformance with design drawings, specifications, and budgets. Site-based role based out of the project office in Calgary. Responsibilities include: meeting daily with project crews to align production schedule and resources; collecting and coordinating shop drawings, material requirements, and project data; providing technical input for work plans and scheduling; identifying production risks to budget/schedule; tracking performance and documenting activities; communicating schedule changes and proposing solutions; managing project quantity input and cost coding with finance; verifying specifications for QA/QC; planning field layout and permits; coordinating subcontractor work methods and crews; managing close-out with owner and field teams; supporting an inclusive culture and promotion of diversity. Requirements include post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience; 2-4 years as a Field Engineer or Project Coordinator; familiarity with earthworks, underground utilities, paving, concrete; knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, materials, and standards; proficiency with Primavera, AutoCAD, SAP; strong MS Office skills; ability to work in field and office with potential night shifts; commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or acceptable combination of education and previous experience
