Job Summary
Maintain and manage project schedules from initiation through closeout for transmission, maintenance, and distribution projects. Develop, analyze, and steward baseline management for cost and schedule to track variances against approved budgets and scopes. Communicate project status, resource loading, and potential impacts to team members and management while coordinating internal and external resource reallocations. Prepare weekly meetings to review project status and resolve schedule conflicts, ensuring adherence to cost control and accounting processes. Collaborate with estimating, contract administration, and planning groups to support cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide training in project controls methodologies and assist in developing alternative solutions for resource constraints and cost overruns.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive-related electric utility or other related industry experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting capabilities
- Demonstrated financial management experience, including: Cash flow forecasting and management for capital projects, including both internal labor and contractor-supported work
- Demonstrated financial management experience, including: Purchase Order (PO) financial tracking and oversight
- Demonstrated financial management experience, including: Financial risk assessment and mitigation to support achievement of investment objectives
- Demonstrated financial management experience, including: Capital portfolio financial planning, monitoring, and performance management
- Demonstrated financial management experience, including: Identification, evaluation, and communication of financial risks and opportunities
- Strong data management, analysis, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, particularly between Project Management and Financial Management organizations
- Experience preparing and delivering executive and leadership-level reporting, including financial performance, portfolio status, risks, and investment outcomes
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor�s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent 10 years of relevant experience is recommended
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive-related electric utility or other related industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management experience preferred
- Experience with utility capital investment business models is preferred but not required
