Job Summary
Lead planning, scheduling, cost control, and performance measurement for large-scale infrastructure projects by applying Earned Value Management principles to track field progress and contractor performance. Develop project plans and risk management strategies for capital projects exceeding $100 million, utilizing advanced skills in Primavera P6, Power BI, and Power Query to extract, transform, and visualize large volumes of system data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data integration, real-time reporting, and compliance with corporate standards while supporting governance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires minimum 15 years of experience in project controls and cost engineering within large utility projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum twelve (12) years of project management experience or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
- Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project controls, cost engineering and scheduling within large infrastructure or utility projects
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or an equivalent relevant field experience
- Ability to query, extract and transform large volumes of system data
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites as required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Engineering, an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation, preferred
- Program Management experience, an asset
- Familiarity with SAP systems and experience working with utility contractors is considered an asset
- Experience with intermediate-level programming (e.g. VBA, Power Query, SAS, R, Python, DAX, and M), Power BI dataflow authoring, and business intelligence modeling is considered an asset
