Job Summary
Maintain project controls systems, trackers, and reporting while tracking project costs, commitments, forecasts, and financial performance. Support construction estimating, scheduling, and resource planning activities, and track project changes to identify impacts on cost and schedule. Prepare project controls reports, forecasts, and performance updates, and assist with purchase requisitions and procurement-related activities. Provide project controls support to the Project Controller and Superintendent by collaborating with construction, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to maintain accurate information. Assist with identifying cost, schedule, and resource issues and support mitigation strategies while maintaining accurate documentation. Work 12-hour shifts in a 15-on/13-off rotation with flights provided from Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna, or Smithers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in project controls, preferably within mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with cost tracking, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
- Familiarity with project controls trackers and reporting systems.
- Understanding of construction estimating, earned value, short-interval control, and resource planning.
- Experience with purchase requisitions and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Project Controllers, Superintendents, Project Managers, and construction teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
