Job Summary
Project Controls Manager (Schedule Management & Cost Control) for Amtrak’s Penn Station Access program. Responsible for developing integrated master schedules, master risk registers, and spend forecasts; producing cost and progress reports; delivering dashboards and artifacts in collaboration with the Project Manager/Portfolio Director; applying schedule management and cost-control methodologies, including earned value management and risk analysis; leveraging Primavera P6, Excel, and other tools to support senior management with performance reporting and decision making; role requires on-site presence with four days in the office and one day remote at New Rochelle, NY, and up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience
- 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience as a scheduler on large, complex construction or engineering projects (>$500M)
- 3 years of supervisory-level experience in large complex capital construction project scheduling or cost control
- Expert knowledge of scheduling tools and techniques (Primavera P6) and earned value management
- Experience in preparing written technical reports, presentations, and analyses
- Advanced Excel and intermediate-to-advanced PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of project cost engineering, cost management, and cost estimation for large projects
- PMP or PMI-SP certification in good standing (preferred)
- Ability to work on-site with 4/5 days in office at the New Rochelle location
- Authorization to work in the United States
