Job Summary
As a Project Controls Manager, oversee cost control, planning, risk and issue management, document control, estimating, change control, and governance across complex defence-sector programmes. You will have experience in one or more Project Controls subfunctions, develop baselines, manage change, and analyse performance against baselines. You’ll lead a team within a matrix structure, engage senior stakeholders, and proactively support clients in delivering their project/programme. The role requires a strong Defence industry knowledge, autonomy, and relationship-building, with expertise in P3M practices and advanced project controls tools; consultancy experience and a proven track record in delivering sizeable projects are essential. Hybrid and flexible working options are available, with a primary base in Bristol and periodic site visits across the South West. Desirable qualifications include MSP Practitioner and APM PPQ. Required Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Significant track record of successful project delivery
- Experience in Project Controls subfunctions (cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management, risk management)
- Ability to manage teams in a matrix structure and communicate with senior stakeholders
- APM PPQ qualification (desirable)
- MSP Practitioner (desirable)
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
