Job Summary
Bechtel Infrastructure’s Renewables & Clean Power unit seeks a Project Controls Manager to lead a team responsible for cost engineering, cost estimating, forecasting, and planning/scheduling on large, complex projects across the U.S. including multiple state sites (TX, WY, OH, IN) with initial deployment in Reston, VA. Responsibilities include implementing department procedures for cost and schedule control, developing and maintaining project estimates and forecasts, managing a Change Management and Trend Program, and providing risk guidance to project leaders and stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and 13–19 years of experience in cost engineering/planning, EPC delivery, and leadership; strong communication skills and advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes. Relocation is authorized to National/International locations for family; Full-time, on-site work with mobilization to project sites after award.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field required
- Minimum 13 - 15 years of relevant experience or 17 - 19 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience in cost engineering functions including cost estimating, project setup, control, analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting/systems
- Experience in planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis
- Experience in change management, including trend program
- Experience in delivering large-scale combined cycle power projects or similar process plants
- Experience in delivering fully integrated EPC projects
- Excellent oral and written communication; experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes as performed by Bechtel
- Leadership experience managing diverse teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
