Job Summary
Develop and maintain weekly and monthly project cost reports, labor progress tracking, and subcontract cost data for internal and client use. Assist with change management systems, budget shifts, and contingency planning while performing timely forward-looking analysis to mitigate unforeseen cost impacts. Actively participate in bi-weekly or monthly cost control reviews and assist management in forecasting expected costs for monthly reporting. Conduct weekly payroll coding audits and data audits to ensure information accuracy, then liaise with procurement and billing departments to correct costs. Perform progress audits at construction sites and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Requires 5+ years of project controls experience, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work fast track within the Permian Basin.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years Experience in project controls, cost management, trend and change management, and/or project management experience with an EPC contractor or in the Oil and Gas Industry preferable
- Degree in engineering or construction management in lieu of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools a must, especially Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently while prioritizing a large volume work and maintaining the highest quality
- Must be able to work fast track and meet deadlines
- Valid Driver's License
- Subject to background check and drug screen
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer
- Ability to travel to job sites to perform job duties, including walking construction site for progress audits
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
