Job Summary
Interpret construction drawings and specifications to validate cost and schedule impacts while performing quantity calculations and tracking daily/weekly progress of installed work. Assist in developing construction work packages, activity plans, and project controls documentation, then compile, verify, and reconcile daily labor timesheets, equipment reports, and other field-generated data. Support field surveying and layout activities by capturing accurate quantity and progress data, coordinate materials tracking and delivery schedules, and provide project controls oversight including subcontractor coordination and cost code monitoring. Conduct basic engineering calculations and support drafting needs related to quantity tracking or design changes. This site-based role requires travel across the U.S. and direct collaboration with field leadership to ensure operations remain aligned and efficient.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in project controls, field engineering, project coordination, or similar roles within heavy civil construction
- proven support across multiple earthworks phases
- Education in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera
- Experience with construction planning software
- model viewers (3D)
- document management platforms
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of construction processes, including project setup, cost coding, RFIs, change orders, subcontractor coordination, and closeout procedures
