Project Controls Coordinator

Job Summary
Create, document, and analyze project accounting processes while maintaining the company's standard cost system. Oversee monthly exception reporting and month-end closing activities for GP, analyzing cost data to estimate financial performance and revenue recognition. Coordinate workflows with project controllers and billers, monitor timesheet and invoice coding, and facilitate milestone invoice generation. Conduct monthly reviews with project managers to evaluate performance and prepare accounting set-up with contract administration. Perform journal entries and standard accruals, ensuring accurate data entry and processing timeliness across project budgets.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University in Business
- 3-5 Year(s) Experience in project controls, project management, accounting
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to write reports, Business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, specially Excel
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient data entry skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with GP
- Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret spreadsheets
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
- Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business or Data Analytics
- Experience with Oracle
