Job Summary
Develop cost control functions for Energy projects by establishing detailed project controls plans and managing progress reporting, including financial and earned value analysis. Prepare project budgets, establish baseline cost plans, and administer change control requirements for scope, budgets, and schedules. Monitor data to ensure accurate reporting of cost, schedule, contract, pricing, and invoicing information, while reviewing and tracking invoices and progress payments. Communicate project control objectives to line managers and project personnel to support delivery across infrastructure programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognised and accredited university
- Experience working within key infrastructure markets
- Demonstrable experience of the delivery of PMO best practice in a consulting environment on infrastructure projects and programmes
- Experience gained in a multi-discipline project environment
- Experienced in leading project controls on projects or programs
- Excellent understanding of, and experience in, scheduling, budgeting, cost reporting, progress and earned value reporting
- Experience of a variety of project control systems
- Experienced in the preparation of cost control plans and procedures, and communication of such to project teams
- Experienced in the timely and accurate preparation of project weekly and monthly reports, and presentation of results and recommendations to senior management
- Often working to tight timescales
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced level proficiency with all MS Office products, including Outlook; Word; Excel; and PowerPoint; and Projects
- A high attention to detail
- Ability to deal efficiently with priorities and manage time appropriately
- Comfortable working away from home on the South coast up to one night per week, or to be within commuting distance of both London and Brighton
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of a variety of project control systems would be an advantage
- Advanced level proficiency with Primavera P6 and Power BI preferred
