Job Summary
Own Spectrum data entry and weekly reconciliation for assigned projects, confirming production quantities on every timesheet before acceptance. Establish and maintain the Day One Budget in Spectrum, keeping quantities, dollars, and labor/equipment hours current. Produce core Project Controls metrics including Manhour KPI, Labor CPI, and Budget vs. Forecast Variance on a weekly or monthly cadence. Update the Estimate at Completion to reflect actual field performance and maintain the live change log for tracking change orders. Prepare routine performance reporting for the Project Manager and flag data anomalies or incomplete timesheets promptly. Participate in core project controls processes from pre-execution handover through project close, supporting Tier 1 dedicated Cost Controllers during peak workloads.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, business, or a related field
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
- 1–3 years in project controls, cost engineering, or a related project support function
- 3–5 years in project controls, cost engineering, or a related project support function
- Demonstrated ownership of the full metric suite on at least one mid-size project
- Working proficiency in Spectrum
- Intermediate Excel
- Strong proficiency in Spectrum
- Working familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Advanced Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, business, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
- AACEI Certified Cost Technician (CCT)
- PMI's CAPM
- Progress toward PMI-SP or CCP
