Job Summary
Supervise schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring activities while overseeing cost engineering analysis, control, and planning functions for projects with significant non-routine requirements. Perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities to identify trends for management attention, ensuring work is completed as scheduled. Provide technical direction for cost engineering and planning/scheduling activities, utilizing independent judgment to solve complex issues and develop advanced concepts and standards. This role supports the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Controls System at Los Alamos National Laboratory, requiring a bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience.

- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 15 years related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience

- Post graduate course work
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions
- Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel
- Skilled in oral and written communication
- Proficiency in using personal computer operating systems
- Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications
- Knowledge of financial report systems and controller account codes
- Understanding of controller instructions
- Intermediate level of understanding of project controls general technical skills
- Knowledge of engineering and/or construction management
- Subject matter expertise and proven experience with project controls and/or project management
- Proven experience with project budgets including cost estimating, cost control and cost analysis
- Proven experience with project scheduling
- Experience with implementation of corrective actions
- Experience with developing and delivering detailed and accurate status reports
- Expert level knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes
