Job Summary
Project Controller for field-based role responsible for project controls across engineering, construction, commissioning and completion. Responsibilities include providing project controls support to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, coordinating schedules and cost tracking, generating daily-to-quarterly reports, attending meetings and distributing minutes, managing change processes, and maintaining document control. The role involves project planning and scheduling, tracking internal and external costs, managing the A&B purchase order book, and developing/improving tools and processes; requires proficiency with MS Project and MS Excel and familiarity with P6 or Tilos as assets. Located primarily at the Blackfalds, Alberta site with remote construction work; LOA provided for field work; overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field
- 3-5 years of project related experience in the oil and gas, pipeline construction or infrastructure industries
- Experience managing project controls and related activities
- Advanced user of software such as MS Project & MS Excel (P6 or Tilos considered an asset)
- Aptitude for planning, analysis, and problem solving
- Able to develop and manage spreadsheets, project schedules and summary reports
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality of work
