Project Control Specialist/Scheduler

Job Summary
The successful candidate will support multiple Signature Science projects by providing budget, forecasting, schedule and performance analysis; interface professionally with external clients and internal staff at varied levels; deliver detailed reports and data sets with short turnaround times; translate standard contract language into work breakdown structures, develop and manage schedules, create cost/resource control conventions, and explain performance metrics in collaboration with Project Managers. Duties include budgeting support, EVMS development, IMS scheduling, information/forecast analysis, process review/improvement, automation of processing, and potential domestic travel. Regular business hours with potential irregular hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (B.A./B.B.A. in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field)
- Five+ years of relevant work experience
- At least three years of government contractor project accounting or project management/administration
- Familiarity with earned value management principles, budget analysis, forecasting, and schedule management
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and Microsoft Project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with contract or subcontract administration (preferred)
- Familiarity with the Federal acquisition lifecycle (preferred)
- Experience with Deltek (Costpoint/wInsight/Cobra products) and ProPricer (preferred)
- Experience with price and cost analysis, staffing/manpower administration/management, and proposal development (desired)
