Project Contract Manager

Job Summary

Lead contract management for the assigned Project, managing all Consortium Agreement matters with external parties and internal stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive ownership of GEV tools, documentation, and correspondence registers, ensuring timely issuance and replies to letters from customers, partners, suppliers, and subcontractors. Draft and finalize all commercial and contractual correspondence, including identifying relevant clauses and consolidating required information. Manage risk and opportunity identification, mitigation actions, and Change Order pursuits throughout the project lifecycle. Attend mandatory meetings with customers, partners, and internal teams, and support the Sourcing function in finalizing purchasing conditions. Provide guidance on contractual claims, including mitigating incoming claims and pursuing outgoing ones with contemporaneous documentation. Prepare and update the Contract Compliance Checklist monthly to track obligations and due dates.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years' or more, experience in Contracts Management discipline in an international contracting environment
  • preferably in the Power/Energy or Oil and Gas industry
  • experience in large-scaled and complex Turnkey/EPC and Consortium structured contracts
  • Solid understanding of Contract terms and law principles
  • relevant technical, financial, cost & project risk management principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience relating to delay analysis techniques and methodologies
  • calculating and analyzing productivity losses
  • ability to interpret construction contracts, drawings and specifications
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills at higher management level
  • Ability to demonstrate good people leadership, influencing and management skills
  • ability to work independently
  • communicate effectively within and across all levels of project functional groups of diverse nationalities
  • Accomplished computer skills particularly in utilizing MS-Windows and Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • project management software
  • Primavera P6 and/or other equivalent construction industry related software
  • Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese languages
  • Ability and willingness to travel on business trips both within and outside of Taiwan (when required)
  • Mandatory travel and presence at Project Site when required (within Taiwan)

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree/Master's Degree in any Engineering discipline
  • Contracts Management
  • Prime contract commercial experience (domestic and international)
  • Construction claims negotiation experience
  • EPC Experience, preferably in the Power Industry or Oil & Gas Industry
  • Excellent written and communication skills
