Job Summary
Experienced Construction Inspector/Project Construction Technician responsible for field monitoring and inspection on multi-site transportation projects in Indiana. Duties include observing construction activities, interpreting plans and specifications, documenting progress through daily and status reports, measuring quantities, performing material testing, and communicating with clients, contractors, and the public. Requires INDOT knowledge and certification, ability to work outside in varying weather, and a valid driver's license. Minimum 12+ years of experience; HS graduate.
Required Qualifications
- INDOT certified technician
- Driver’s License
- Knowledge of transportation construction and quality control practices
- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings and other technical documents
- Inspect work of contractors and document project progress and quality of work
- Ability to measure and calculate quantities of materials
- Perform material testing
