Job Summary
Coordinate contracts and construction phase services to ensure compliance with specifications and minimize plant operation interruptions. Resolve conflicts between the utility and contractors while managing special projects requiring complex analytical and organizational skills. Serve as On-Call Supervisor on a rotating schedule for plant-related emergencies after hours and weekends. Maintain thorough knowledge of water and wastewater facility operations, including reading construction plans and interpreting engineering drawings. Complete required NIMS level training and obtain Missouri Class D Water Operator licensing within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate Degree or equivalent
- four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in water/wastewater plants
- any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
- Valid State Commercial Driver's License
- Must be or become Missouri Class D Water Operator Licensed within first six (6) months of hire
- Must complete required NIMS level training within first six (6) months of hire
- Thorough knowledge of operation, construction, and maintenance of a water production and wastewater treatment facility and related equipment
- Record keeping, report preparation, filing methods and records organization skills
- project management principals and practices, including inspection, documentation and plan updates

- Skill in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, engineering and architectural drawings
