Job Summary

Conduct physical and chemical analyses of water and wastewater samples using wet chemistry methods, titrations, and instrumental techniques including ICP, UV/VIS, GC, and TOC. Perform, troubleshoot, and maintain calibration procedures for analytical instrumentation while adhering to EPA procedures and quality assurance protocols. Collect and analyze industrial process water under various environmental testing conditions, providing analytical support for sales, marketing, and research teams. Prepare technical papers and reports, ensuring data quality and timeliness while maintaining laboratory operations per safety and chemical hygiene plans. Requires five years of laboratory experience in a process chemistry or environmental setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry
  • Five years plus experience in a process chemistry or environmental laboratory setting
  • Technical understanding & working knowledge of applicable instrumentation & Standard EPA methodologies related to water and wastewater treatment
  • A minimum of 5 years operating ICP and ICP/MS
  • Experience with instrumental analyses via UV/VIS, TOC, GC, GC/MS, IC, Lachat Flow Analyzer, and AFS
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry preferred; chemical engineering, biology, or environmental science acceptable
