Job Summary

Manage assigned architectural projects from initial design development through completed construction documents, ensuring drawings are complete, accurate, and released according to schedule. Coordinate base plans, structural drawings, mechanical systems, and electrical layouts with engineers and consultants to resolve technical clarifications. Maintain company CAD standards, templates, and detail libraries while developing integration standards for AutoCAD and specification platforms. Serve as the primary architectural contact for outsourced drafting teams, conducting regular coordination meetings and tracking performance metrics. Protect company intellectual property and participate in field walks, model reviews, and post-construction evaluations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the residential construction, code compliance and drafting
  • Six (6) or more years of progressively responsible CAD drafting in a residential production environment
  • Strong technical proficiency in CAD software, drafting systems, and related design technologies
  • Strong design aptitude with the ability to interpret architectural plans, apply drafting standards, and produce accurate construction documents
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and levels of the organization
  • Ability to establish and enforce drafting standards and quality control procedures
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills
  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele
  • Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization
  • Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with the ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary
  • Able to work in an equitable, inclusive, and diverse environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in architecture, drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field preferred
