Job Summary
Gensler Project Architect will collaborate with senior design leadership to develop design solutions, lead and coordinate a project team, and produce BIM models and construction drawings for workplace, retail, and hospitality projects. The role emphasizes mentorship of junior staff, cross-disciplinary coordination with consultants and clients, and advancing constructible, technically sound designs across multiple development stages. The position is based in the Newport Beach studio and involves guiding projects from early development through implementation, with a focus on delivering human-centered built environments and sustainable design outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school
- Licensure required
- 8+ years of experience in architectural design
- Experience with Revit and Rhino
- Proficiency or familiarity with SketchUp, 3ds Max, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience coordinating with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants
- Ability to manage multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictions
- Understanding of sustainable design concepts and building construction
