Job Summary
Lead and manage complex architectural projects in New York, guiding design development and documentation for large commercial office, mixed-use, civic, and cultural projects. Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors; oversee teams, proposals, contracts, and invoices; ensure building systems integration, sustainability, accessibility, and code compliance while delivering design excellence aligned with the client’s vision. Proficient in Revit and LEED-related workflows, with ability to lead multiple projects and contribute to technical and design leadership across the studio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- 10+ years of New York-based project management experience at an architectural or interior design firm
- Experience managing project teams, creating project proposals and fees, reviewing contracts and invoices, and interfacing with clients
- Ability to lead multiple projects independently as well as collaborate on larger-scale projects
- Understanding of building systems, sustainability requirements, accessibility, and code compliance
- Strong knowledge of Type I, Type II construction, construction detailing, building materials, and systems
- Experience in LEED documentation and certification, space programming, space planning, workplace strategy, entitlements, planning approvals
- Design and documentation experience using Revit
- Licensed Architect in the State of New York
