Job Summary
Project Architect leads and coordinates project teams to deliver complex architectural projects in partnerships with clients, consultants, and contractors. Responsible for establishing and maintaining work plans, schedules, and technical workflows; overseeing design development, production drawings, models, and project documentation; ensuring compliance with building and zoning codes; coordinating regulatory interfaces; and mentoring junior staff while upholding design intent, technical quality, and project delivery objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Professional architectural degree (5- or 6-year accredited program)
- 10+ years of experience on large, multi-disciplined projects
- Architectural license preferred
- Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Newforma preferred
- Strong aesthetic sensibilities in materials, form, proportion, color, and composition
- Excellent understanding of building codes, zoning ordinances, and design approval processes
- Technical knowledge of building systems, engineering concepts, and material assemblies
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct and mentor junior staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Professional demeanor with a reputation for fairness and consistency
