Job Summary
Lead architectural drawing and specification development across schematic, design development, construction documents, and administration phases, ensuring design intent aligns with technical execution. Collaborate with engineers and contractors to maintain project cohesion, manage deliverables against milestones, and resolve technical challenges while ensuring compliance with IBC, NFPA, FGI, and ADA standards. Coordinate with permitting authorities, support project profitability monitoring, and mentor emerging professionals. Approximately 10-15% travel required for site visits and client meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
- Licensed Architect (or on the path to licensure within 12 months)
- 5–10 years of architectural experience, preferably in healthcare or complex technical building types
- Proficiency in Revit
- Strong knowledge of building systems, detailing, and construction methods
- Excellent communication, coordination, and time-management skills
- Ability to lead technical production efforts with minimal supervision
- 10-15% travel for project-related needs, including site visits, client meetings, and occasional industry events
Desired Qualifications
- experience with Bluebeam, Rendering Structure, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with FGI guidelines
- LEED Accreditation or interest in sustainable design
