Job Summary
Senior Project Architect (AIBC) leading projects through all phases, coordinating with national teams across Canada, and engaging clients to guide project delivery. Responsibilities include pre-design through construction administration, design development, construction documentation, RFI responses, shop drawings, and coordinating internal design teams with external consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical, civil). Mentorship of technologists and intermediate staff, maintaining project momentum, and ensuring design intent and technical execution are aligned. Strong BIM/Revit proficiency, client meetings, stakeholder discussions, and collaboration with Eastern Canada teams. Role offers remote work flexibility with opportunities to grow Western Canada presence and long-term leadership in Vancouver.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Architect with the AIBC
- 10+ years of professional experience within architecture firms
- Strong experience across all project phases from early design through construction administration
- Demonstrated project experience in commercial and industrial architecture
- Experience working on public sector projects is considered an asset
- Experience leading projects and coordinating complex consultant teams
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM based workflows
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with remote project teams
- Interest in contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s Western Canadian presence
