Job Summary
Project Architect at AECOM in Cleveland or Columbus, OH. The role involves performing basic architectural/engineering calculations, preparing specifications and data tables, maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups, preparing/reviewing/approving drawings, and coordinating with design teams and other disciplines. Under the Supervising Architect, may perform advanced technical assignments within approved schedules and budgets, may assist in training and evaluating architectural personnel, and may assist in developing new architectural methods and techniques. Minimum BA/BS in Architecture with four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency; licensure or progress toward licensure in OH is preferred. Strong technical skills in architectural design, building codes, and 3D modeling (Revit, SketchUp, Rhino) with a track record of coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering design and construction documents. Hybrid work environment; sponsorship not offered. Must be located in OH with ability to work from Columbus or Cleveland offices.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Architecture
- four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency
- Licensed as a registered architect or steps toward licensure (OH preferred)
- Knowledge of building systems and materials
- Knowledge of local building codes
- Ability to produce design intent renderings and design concept diagrams
- Experience coordinating work with disciplines (civil, landscape, MEPS)
- Experience with construction administration and permitting processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or BIM tools (Revit, SketchUp, Rhino) is highly desirable
